Will the world end in 2012?
Will it end some other time?
Thanks
to a recent movie and some cable TV specials there
is a lot of talk about 2012 being the end of the world.
People
talk about predictions of the Mayans, Nostradamus,
and the Bible confirming this.
But
is that really what the Bible says?
If
it's not what the Bible says (it isn't), then what
does the Bible really say about "The End"?
And
if there really will be an end to this world at some point
in history then how should we respond to that fact?
How
should that affect our plans for
2010 and beyond?
Or
should it?
We'll
take a straight-forward and practical look at these things
and more in our new 3-Sunday series called, "Planning
With
The End In Mind".
Over
the next 3 Sundays we'll cover these ideas...
Sunday,
January 10th:
"Will There Be An End And When?"
We'll
look at what the Bible really says about the end and what
it tells us we can know about when it will happen.
Sunday,
January 17th:
"Preparation & Perserverance"
We'll
look at two warnings Jesus gives in the form of two stories
to help us know how considering the end should affect our
plans for 2010.
Sunday,
January 24th:
"What Will You Do With What You've Been Given?"
We'll
look at one last story that Jesus tells that will give us
an idea of what God expects from us and how this can help
us to plan more effectively for this year.
This
series will give you the reassurance, knowledge,
and insights you need to better prepare for this
year and for the end - whenever it might come.
I
hope you can come be with us!
WHEN?
4:30pm-6:00pm
WHERE?
We'll be
meeting in the fellowship hall @ Peninsula Christian Center
in Redwood City.
